The webinar will review recent trends in renewable energy siting in the year since P.A. 102-1123 significantly revised counties’ authority over renewable energy development. It will also cover revisions adopted in the fall trailer bill and give an overview of new rules for procurement of renewable energy credits (RECs) by the Illinois Power Agency, including new equity and workforce requirements under the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) and how they interplay with Inflation Reduction Act requirements for those projects seeking IRA tax credits.
