System Details:

In 1985, we converted a porch on our 1870 farmhouse to passive solar heat. At the same time, we integrated a homemade solar heated water system to the existing propane tank. The solar system is only used for warm weather months. In winter, a wood stove system heats our water. In 2017, we added a 3.5 kW solar array that meets all of our electrical needs.
