Chuck VonDrehle, NABCEP Certified PV Installer Chuck is the V.P. of Sales and Engineering for the Chicago based, solar distributor PVpower LLC. Chuck has been in the solar industry since 2007 and has managed the installation of over 1MW of projects. After working for one of the largest solar installers in the California market, Borrego Solar, he returned to Illinois, to help establish Harnetech as a solar energy installer in Chicago and designed and managed commercial installations for Socore Energy.

This introductory 3-hour course uses a combination of lecture and classroom activities to paint a picture of the growth of the solar electric, solar thermal, and small-scale wind markets in Illinois, nationally, and globally.
A brief overview will be provided of the technologies, the cost and price trends of components and systems, potential major changes, and policies and incentives.
