This course is an in-depth review of solar electric energy production so you can determine if a solar electric system is right for your home or business.  Topics include: system equipment and components, technology and mounting options, cost analysis, site assessment, permitting, tax incentive details, and advice on finding and hiring a qualified contractor/installer.  If you’re ready to make the move to solar and generate clean, renewable energy, this is the class for you.

INSTRUCTOR

Jim Camasto

Jim earned his BS in environmental engineering from Washington University. He is an active member of ISEA, and a former director and editor.  His Naperville home, highlighted on the Illinois Solar Tour, features a solar (PV) electric system and a solar thermal (ST) water and space heating system.  He has cut his electric use 60-70% and natural gas use 40-50%.
