In this 8-hour course, students will learn the basics of how Solar Domestic Hot Water Heating Systems (SDHW) work and their economic impacts with emphasis on northern climate systems.

This class will prepare students for entry level work in the solar water heating field and will help facilities managers,
architects, planners, home owners and government officials to understand the workings and benefits of
solar domestic hot water systems.

Prerequisite: RE100 or comparable experience in construction, plumbing, and roofing.

Instructor

Matt Vester, NABCEP Certified PV & Solar Thermal Matt works as part of a highly skilled team designing and installing maintenance-free, high-efficiency solar thermal and photovoltaic solar systems. Responsibilities include all aspects of solar installations, including system design, supervision of proper installation, customer service, navigation of applicable codes and regulations, employee training, vendor relations, etc.
