This course will explain how small wind works and its applications in urban and suburban areas. Learn about various turbine designs and mounting options available for installations with property limitations. The course will detail site assessment, permitting, cost analysis, tax incentives and advice for working with a local contractor/installer.
LOCATION
Matt Tirpak Matt is an electrician who first got hands on experience with solar while working on BP Sunflower I and Sunflower II systems, and the large array at the Harold Washington Social Security Building in Chicago. Since then he has installed a system on the family home, and cut electrical consumption dramatically. He has a NABCEP Certificate of Knowledge and is working on a NABCEP Site Surveyor Certificate, both through Local #134 and the NECA Training Center.
