SOLAR 2017 is the American Solar Energy Society’s 46th annual National Solar Conference. It will be held at the University of Colorado, Denver, October 9-12, 2017. It will include technical sessions, forum discussions, plenary panels, workshops, fast-paced switch~ presentations, public solar displays, and networking events.
SOLAR 2017 is an integral part of the two-week U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon, being held in Denver Colorado. The Solar Decathlon challenges collegiate teams to design and build full-size, solar-powered homes that push the limits of innovation in a series of 10 contests.
The winner of the competition is the team that best blends design excellence and smart energy production with innovation, market appeal, and energy and water efficiency.
In addition to SOLAR 2017, ASES is working with the Solar Decathlon organizing team to maximize interest in solar energy through sustainability and educational workshops and festivals. The Solar Decathlon and related events will be happening October 5-15.
“Building Toward a 100% Renewable Energy Community”
This 2017 theme underscores our close connection with the Solar Decathlon which is all about buildings, our ASES mission of enabling a 100% RE society, and the importance of ASES as a community building as well as knowledge sharing organization.
