August 3 you can play a key role in shaping the future of the clean energy economy. 

There is a rally and hearing where Sierra Club and our allies will be calling for the EPA to prioritize projects for economically disadvantaged communities and communities of color in the Clean Energy Incentives Program (CEIP). The CEIP is a voluntary early action program for the development of clean energy in low-income communities tied to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Power Plan -- the nation's first-ever controls of carbon pollution from existing power plants.

If the EPA finalizes a strong and just CEIP, it will be an opportunity for states to fulfill the promise of protecting communities who have long been burdened by pollution all while protecting our climate everywhere. RSVP to show up for environmental and economic justice!

What: Rally with speakers and a  public hearing 

When: Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Rally at noon, hearing from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00pm (you do not need to stay the whole time)

Where: 

• Rally at Federal Plaza, 219 S Dearborn  (corner of Dearborn and Adams)
  
• Hearing at US EPA Region 5 Office, Ralph Metcalfe Federal Building, 77 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60604
