American Solar Challenge - Finish Line

  • 26 Jun 2010
  • 10:00 AM - 3:59 PM
  • Naperville North High School, 899 North Mill Street, Naperville, Illinois

The 2010 American Solar Challenge (ASC2010) is a competition between college student teams to design, build, and drive solar-powered cars in a cross-country time/distance rally event. Teams compete in a 1100 mile drive from Tulsa to Chicago. The route has been chosen to combine pieces of old routes used in previous events, giving a bit of an historical tribute for the 20 years of organized events in North America.

The Finish Line will be held in Naperville, IL at Naperville North High School.

The Naperville Sustainability Challenge will take place from 10-4 to provide entertainment and education to the attending public.  An exhibitor event will showcase eco-friendly and energy efficient vehicles as well as home life solutions.  This event will be solar powered, including the radio broadcast by The River.  This is a no-cost public event for the community.

Come visit ISEA and join us for the awards ceremony and party to follow.
