DCEO Rebate Extension

The State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) rebate and grant programs are set to sunset in December 2015. Although this is over a year away, we are working to extend this program now to ensure that there won’t be gaps in funding cycle.  We currently have legislative sponsors and are working with environmental groups to push extension of the rebates.

Seemingly easy, there are some complications as the current law links funding to Clean Coal programs.  Strategic analysis is underway to determine the best step forward to extend this resource for assisting home owners, businesses and non-profits with the upfront cost of solar.

Take the below action steps to ensure that the Illinois DCEO Rebate is extended beyond 2014.  Let your representatives know that you support this legislation by taking these steps.
