Streamlining Solar: Adopting Model Permitting, Zoning & Ordinances Conference (12 Jul 2012)

Solar is a growing industry in Illinois that is creating new jobs, growing our economy, and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
As the hard costs of solar have steadily gone down in the last few years, the soft costs have remained the same. Soft costs include fees and processes related to permitting, zoning, and interconnection. With a reduction in the soft costs, paired with ever dropping hard costs, solar is on schedule to reach grid parity.

The ISEA and ISU have coordinated to offer two conferences, one in Normal on July 12th and one in Chicago on July 19th, to educate and supply resources to municipalities on permitting, zoning, ordinances, codes and safety.
